Politics in the United States

November 1, 2012

I know this is a sore subject but I must get some things off my mind. As I read people’s views and comments it becomes very clear that a great deal of our problems in this country not only lies with the politicians but also with ourselves, the citizens.

I get very discouraged when I talk to people and their only concern is the platform. It matters not what the candidate stands for or what his plans are for this country. The only thing that seems to matter is that we are a Democrat or a Republican.  Folks, we are setting ourselves up for a real revolution in the direction of total control. The entitlement mentality in this country is out of control. We have become mindless sheep where we think that big government will take care of everything for us. Where has our sense of responsibility gone?

From my perspective it has deteriorated to a level of disgrace. We are too busy to get involved and change our personal lives. We constantly look to others to solve our problems for us. We have no patience and want instant gratification. We will accept morally and socially wrong decisions and laws. Why? I believe it comes down to money and ignorance of the true reality of things. Right now I believe our political system is broken and in ruins.  None of the ads tell me anything. They only tear the opponent apart. It makes me sick. They are like a bunch of monkeys in a jar. They pass a law for a law for a law.

In closing, our country is in trouble not just because of the political system but mostly because the citizens of this country have lost touch with their roots and the founding principles. What will it take for us to wake up? I HOPE NOT SOCIALISIM!

  1. This is why I am voting for Jesus … seriously. There are some things only He can fix. 🙂

    • Yea. I thought about the same thing. Maybe everyone ought to do that. Wouldn’t that send a message.
